Nicollette Sheridan was born of former British actress Sally Sheridan nee Adams. Sheridan, before flying off to United States in 1973, has studied at Millfield School in Somerset. Sheridan began her acting career with a recurring role in short-lived television soap "Paper Dolls" {1984}, which was cancelled after airing 13 episodes. Two years later, Nicollette Sheridan got a breakthrough role in "Knots Landing" {179 episodes: 1986-1993}, where she played the role of Paige Matheson. She won Soap Opera Digest Awards consecutively for two years in 1990 and 1991 for her wonderful performance as Paige Matheson. Her success on the "Knots Landing" led to several roles in movies and television dramas. Sheridan has acted in several made-for-television movies like "A Time to Heal" {1994}, "The People Next Door" {1996} and big screen films like "Spy Hard"{1996}, and "I Woke Up Early the Day I Died" {1998} and several others.
In 2001, Nicollette Sheridan got the recurring role of Eleanor in "The Legend of Tarzan" {28 episodes: 2001}, and three years later she played Edie Britt in "Desperate Housewives" {89 episodes: 2004-2008}, which made her one of the most famous actresses in America. Sheridan received Golden Globe nomination for her role of Edie Britt; and is hoping to continue in the role for 5th consecutive season.
